Changing things a bit
I had a lot of time to think the past 3 days due to a forced computer fast. My neuromuscular/massage therapist ordered me to stay off the MacBook after she worked on my left arm Friday morning. Thinking can be a little dangerous for a scanner like me, but in this case it was very helpful.
A few years ago I left a job that was decent, but boring. I wore out all my options there and ended up doing the same thing for 2.5 years. That’s a death sentence to me. So I decided to stop forcing myself into spaces that don’t fit and do more of what I love to do. This meant some drastic changes in my life and I’m better for it. One of the main things I learned is to always in every situation be true to myself.
I love teaching people. I enjoy helping folks who don’t have a clue about WordPress (among other things) finally get it. What makes me happy is handing it all off to someone who can do it themselves. That’s why I started WPChick and offered WordPress Coaching.
So, in the spirit of keeping true to myself, being honest with everyone out there, and making changes before I get too bogged down with clients, I’m altering my Done-For-You services page to reflect the direction I want to go with WPChick.
DFY services are limited and on a per-project basis from now on.
Current clients are not affected.
Oh, and one more thing: with WP Coaching, I will soon be able connect to your computer over the internet and control your mouse with mine so you can see what I do and do it yourself. It’s one step above video and will allow you to work on your own computer with your own WordPress site. Cool, eh?

Congratulations, Alexia, on following your dream. And good luck on your new venture. Love the WPChick! When you get a minute, come check out my two blogs on wordpress. Foxy G. Knits’ den of i-KNIT-quity accompanies my etsy shop. Reflections on an Ashtray Collection (ashtraycollectionreflections.com) is about my dream of curating an exhibit of the 20th century as seen through the more than 3,000 ashtrays I have collected over the past 14 years. Again, congrats!
